Wind, Rain, and Hail at Wingpointe

The local season kicked off under heavy gray clouds.  The competition was punctuated with bursts of rain, wind, and hail for the forty-one members and one guest who braved the weather.  Sixteen players took home prizes comprised of 1st place trophies, $860 in Edwin Watts gift cards, $180 in the cash pool for the skins game, and $110 cash from the 50/50 raffle.  The Golf Week Amateur Tour has raised almost $50,000 for the Stand Up to Cancer charity nationally through fund-raising efforts like 50/50 raffles.  Keep an eye out for your Golf Week subscription.  The write up of this event and the photo of the winners will be published in an upcoming Golf Week magazine!
