Sunshine After the Storm at Eaglewood Golf Course

On Saturday morning it looked like our tournament would be cancelled due to heavy rain, hail, and lightening.  As luck would have it, Mike Collins (C Flight) purchased rain gear on the way to the course, which brought clear skies and sunny but windy weather for the afternoon round.  We all thank you for the great weather, Mike!  At the completion of the round, ten players took home prizes comprised of 1st place trophies, $640 in Edwin Watts gift cards, and $275 in the cash pools for the money games.

  • In the A flight, David Platt grabbed his third victory of the season with a 76 and a closest to the pin win with a great shot on #8 to a tucked pin.  Collin Townsend took the second place prize with an 81 and a skin on #11.
  • In the B flight, Jason Tanner, fresh off a promotion from C flight got his first win in B flight with an 89.  Ben Lambertwas one stroke back with a 90 and a skin on #8.
  • In the C flight, Eric Jack earned his first win on tour with a 94, just edging Scott Wilson and Eddie Mahn by one stroke.
  • In the D flight, Rich Olofson beat Ricky Roberts on a scorecard playoff.  Both players carded a 97 for the day, and Rich won on hole #2, the #1 handicap hole.
