My course at Reynolds Lake Oconee is called the National, but a more appropriate name is "The Natural." The holes flow with the terrain into ravines and valleys, making for a playable, member-friendly course.

The National

The National's trademark is its dramatic elevation changes from tee to fairway, as well as on approach shots - some as much as 60 feet. The Ridge, Bluff and Cove nines that make up The National offer unmatched playing opportunities and are named for the type of terrain they feature. No two holes are alike in these three unique playing opportunities, but all share a consistency in feel for the way they feature the natural undulating contours of the region, making it a total 27-hole experience. PRACTICE ROUNDS

 

On Friday February 28th, the National will be holding a 11:00 a.m. shotgun start for all those players that are wanting to get in a practice round.

In addition, I had a request from a member asking if there was the possibility to play at any of the other courses at Reynolds Lake Oconee. The answer is YES.... I'm including the details below for all. Pleasenote that all practice rounds must be booked thru the National Golf Club (for the National course) or...thru the Group Golf coordinator at Reynolds Lake Oconee.

Practice Rounds at The National Golf Course may be booked for a reduced fee of $75+/player and must be made by contacting the National Golf Course directly at 706-467-1142 or Group Golf Manager at 706-467-1225. The $75+ rate extended to golfers at the National applies on February 25, 2020 through duration of event only. Practice rounds or additional rounds during these dates may be booked at other Reynolds Lake Oconee Golf Courses at the following reduced rates: 

  •  Great Waters Course ($330+/player),
  • Oconee Course ($180+/player) &
  • Landing or Preserve Course ($145+/player).

Forecaddies are included in the golfing experience at Great Waters and Oconee. 

Rounds at Great Waters, Oconee, Landing or Preserve may be booked by calling the Group Golf Manager 706-467-1225. 

Reduced rates are apply on February 24, 2020 through the duration of the event only




Saturday, February 29th

7:00 a.m. - Registration/Practice Range opens

9:30 a.m. - 1st tee time (10 minute increments)

6:00 p.m. - Round 2 pairings posted

Sunday, March 1st

7:00 a.m. - Registration/Practice Range opens

Awards ceremony to follow the completion of competition

Both days must be paid when checking in on Saturday.

All below room types include breakfast each morning, A Block of 30 rooms have been set aside.  These rooms are available to be booked on a first-come first-served basis and will returned to the hotel for normal bookings on January 28th.  Please reserve your room early if you plan on staying here.
