3rd Annual Golfweek Masters @ The Dogwoods
Grenada, MS – The Dogwoods Golf Course was in fine shape, but was a tough out for the players this past weekend. It was a beautiful day in Grenada, fairways were a must, the greens were fast, and the wind was gusting to 20 mph! All this led to only three players breaking 80!
Champ Flight – Defending tournament champ Phillip Roberts shot an even par 72 to win the champ flight. Chris Schlette grabbed second place with Frank Cupples coming home in third.
A’ Flight – New member Alex Deason shot 72 in the A flight, and will be joining the champ flight. Congrats Alex! New member Ben DeHart shot 81 to take home the trophy, with John Decker taking 2nd and Juan Castillo getting 3rd place.
B’ Flight – Stan Platt shoots 82 to get the first place nod in B flight. Rick Kidder shoots 84 to take 2nd place, and Larry Denbrock beat Danny McDougal on scorecard playoff for third place. Both Larry and Danny shot 85.
C’ Flight – Our "soon to be college graduate" Parker Harris gets his first win of the season by shooting an 87. Congrats on both the win and the coming college graduation Parker! Shane Springer and new member James Hedgepeth both carded 89’s, with Shane winning on scorecard playoff for 2nd place.
D’ Flight – Steve Deason started in D flight and shot 86 for a battlefield promotion to C flight. Andy Darrow takes home the trophy, Lee Harris was 2nd, and John Conlee was 3rd.

2012 MEMPHIS GOLFWEEK AMATEUR TOUR REFERRAL PROGRAM
The 2012 season will be our 3rd season, and hopefully our best yet. Our referral program will allow members to be rewarded for their efforts in recruiting newmembers. For the upcoming season, current Memphis/N.MS members who refer 2 new members to sign up and play in at least one tour event will receive 1 paid tournament entry fee! Nice huh, but that’s not all, sign-up 4 friends, get 2 tournament entry fees! Sign-up 6 golfers and get 3 free tournaments!
1) All referrals must be a new member to the tour, not be a member of another tour city, must not already be registered with the Memphis tour, or a member in previous seasons. And each must play in at least one tourney.
2) Referral entry fee credits will not be redeemable for any major tournaments.
3) Referral entry fee credits will be issued once the new player pays for his/her membership and has completed play in one tournament.
4) To count as credit, the referred member MUST include the current members name on the application form when joining (in the “how did you hear about the tour” section), no referral name, and no credit.
5) The maximum number of free entry credits that can be accumulated is 5 (for referring 10 players) and players will be able to carry 1 of them over to the following season.
