Sardis,
MS – It was a great weekend for some golf at the Mallard
Pointe Golf Course on Saturday. Mallard
Pointe was in great shape, and we really appreciate the Corey Ruffin’s efforts
for our tournament. A little muggy on
Sunday at Ole miss, but still another fine day for golf on a great course. Thank
you Tate and staff for fine job as usual! Thanks to everyone that came out to
play and we hope you all had a good weekend!
Champ
Flight – David Apperson blew away the competition with a two
day total of 146 (75 MP/71 OM). Nice David!
A’
Flight – After day 1, our Nashville guest Jody Barrett was
the leader by 3 over Keith Nuckolls. Day
two saw Keith come back and win by one! Jody finished second with Tommy Warren
rounding out the top 3.
B’
Flight – Heading into round two and behind by two strokes
after the first round, Brett Robinson caught day one leader Fred Bryant and
forced an on course playoff. Brett
parred the first hole for the win, as Fred made bogey. Demetrius Bryant
finished in third one stroke behind the 2 leaders totals.
C’
Flight – Andy Gregory started day 2 with a two stroke lead
over Danny McDougal, and hung on for the victory by the same margin. “Danny Mac”
just nearly made the comeback, but finished second in the end. M.L. Hill made a
10 stroke improvement from round one to grab third place.
D’
Flight – Darrell Harris continues to shine in the “major” tournaments,
taking the outright lead on the final hole for the win! Vince Vaghela took home
second, with Brian Nabors taking 3rd.
Memphis Golfweek Amateur tour will play Kirkwood
National Course in Holly Springs, MS on July 30th. We will start tee times at 9:00. Sign up early please, and all players are
