If you are on the list, and are not going to play, let me know. If you are going to play and are not on the list, let me know. Thanks everyone.
The Memphis/North Mississippi Egolf Tours first major at the Natchez Trace was held this past Saturday. It was an absolutely gorgeous day for golf!! The staff at the Trace was great, and for a change, we had a perfect day for a golf tournament.
Phillip Roberts won the championship flight for the second tournament in a row. Mike Carter came in second, and guest Curt Sparks had to withdraw from the tournament.
David Weigand, a guest from the Nashville Egolf tour, won the ‘A’ flight with a 79 on a difficult course. Second place went to Thomas McMurdy, with third place going to Jack Willis.
Participating in his first tournament, Jordan Jones won the ‘B’ flight in a scorecard playoff with Dr. Lynn Holt. Ronnie Fondren, another of our guests, carded an 86 for third place.
Jeremy Mize came in first in ‘C’ flight, with Greg Cryder 2nd, and Fred Bryant finishing in 3rd.
Max Dove won the ‘D’ flight with a very impressive score of 84! Staub Halbert took 2nd place with an 88. And in his first tournament, Emrick Lamons took home 3rd place with a score of 91.
The closest to the pin winner was Staub Halbert, and the longest drive winner was Charlie Sample. Congrats to both of you and to all the flight winners.
Thanks to the Trace staff and my family/friends for all the help with everything. I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful day of golf. I would also like to thank Nolan Brothers Motor Sales for sponsoring the closest to the pin and longest drive contests this week. Go see Brad or Dennis for a good deal on a premium used vehicle.
Thanks to all the players that participated this weekend, and I look forward to seeing everyone at Mallard Pointe in Sardis, MS. Don’t forget to bring guests, and anyone can still join the tour. Mallard Pointe is a beautiful, but challenging course, and I don’t think any true golfer will want to miss this tournament. Sign up early!!
Way to go Phil Mickelson!!
I would ask that all our players put Ronnie Moore in your thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery from a recent health issue. Ronnie is a member of our tour, and a very good friend to some our tour members. Get well soon Ronnie!
