Ray Autenrieb and Tank Burbridge- "D" Flight Winners
Shaker Run in Lebanon, Ohio is one of the best courses in the state. It features three separate nine hole courses all with their own personality and challenges. The Columbus golfers got to experience them all this past weekend in their second major of the year. The weather for the two-day tournament was absolutely beautiful for golf. Sunny skies, a light breeze and great temperatures. What more could we ask for?
The Championship flight saw Todd Barnes come through with a victory. Todd fired rounds of 87 and 81 to take home the first place trophy. This win marks the first time that Todd has taken home the first place this year. Congratulations on a good weekend of golf Todd.
The A flight saw two guests from the Lexington, Kentucky tour come in and take home the first and second place trophies. Jon Tongate (164) and Wes Ragland (168) both said that they enjoyed the weekend and loved the competition as well as the course. Hometown favorite Jared Minor (172) was able to finish in the top three.
The B flight was a tight, heated battle for 27 holes. After day one Eric Croker had a three stroke lead over Angel Padilla. After the front nine on day two that lead was down to one. Angel was ready to make a run but Eric was able to hold Angel off and keep the lead.
The biggest flight of the tournament was the C flight. A total of 11 C flight golfers took to the course ready to fight it out for trophies, points and bragging rights. In the end Cham Kahari (180) stood tall with a big smile and the first place trophy. This is Cham’s third win of the season and his second in a row. Finishing second was Jeff Leonhard (184). Keith Powell (185) rounds out the top three.
The D flight saw Robert “Tank†Burbridge come out victorious for the second time this season. Taking home second place was Ray Autenrieb. The highlight of the weekend for Tank was winning $120 by sticking it close to the pin on Sunday. Congratulations to Tank and Ray for a good weekend of golf.
