Beautiful Day Leads To Low Scores!

The day couldn’t have turned out any better at Westchester Golf Course in Canal Winchester. The temperature was in the mid 80’s, the sun was out and the scores were low. What more could you ask for?
The Championship flight saw the top four golfers separated by only two shots. John Fryman and Tim Ford needed a 19th hole to determine the winner. Fryman and Ford came in at one-over par 73’s on the day. Fryman was declared the winner after birding the play-off hole. Ryan Troup finishes third with a score of 74. Troy Boswell and Tim Pickering also shot scores in the 70’s with a 75 and 79 respectively.
The A flight also saw low scores and needed and playoff to determine the winner. Sunny Kang and Hyo-seung Lee shot rounds of 74 on the day and needed that 19th hole to determine the winner. At the end of that hole Hyo-seung Lee was standing tall as the winner of the A flight, his first win of the season. Rounding out the top three was John Winters and his round of 76.
In the B flight the low scores continued. Eric Croker fires a round of 78 to take home the top spot for the first time this season. Dennis Henderson finishes second with a solid round of 80 on the day. Rounding out the top three was Bill Sluka and his round of 81.
The C flight was no different when it came to scores being low. Buddy McBride fires a round of 79 to take home his second first place win. The low scores didn’t stop with McBride though. John Barnes fires a round of 81 to take home second place and Egbert Powell’s 84 takes home third.
What else can I say but the D flight winner also took advantage of the low scoring day. Phillip Petitti fires a round of 81 to take home the top spot. This is Phillip’s second win in a row. Zach Davis and William Gilstrap round out the top three spots.
The Columbus Tour travels to Granville Golf Course in Granville, Ohio on Saturday May 30th.
