Brad Herpolsheimer- "B" Flight Winner
On what traditionally is a rather tough course, the flight winners made easy work of Granville Golf Course in Granville, Ohio today. The weather was beautiful, the course was in great shape and the scores were pretty good; for some ïŠ
The Championship Flight saw four golfers competing for the top spot today. Playing in his first event this year, Bryan Jackson was able to shoot an even par round to take home first place. Finishing in second was Zake Masterson and Ryan Troup with their 3-over par 74 rounds. Jeff Maier fired a respectable round of 76 to round out the Champ flight players.
The A flight saw another low round from its winner. Todd Coil fired a 3-over par 74 to best Todd Barnes by five strokes. Coil also won three skins on the day. Barnes won a skin and the closest to the pin to go along with his second place finish. Kerry Ford, Mike Bilderback and Chris Lange all put together rounds of 80 to tie for third.
Another flight, another low score for the winner. The B flight saw Brad Herpolsheimer walk off the 18th green with a 9-over par 80 on the day to take home the trophy and more importantly the 450 points. Rick Smialek comes in second with his round of 81. Matthew Bauke rounds out the top three with his 82 on the day.
The C flight winner was no exception to the low scores for the flight winners. Jacob Bridges takes home his second win of the year with an 83 on the tough Granville course. Rounding out the top three was Gary Andrews (87) and Bill Sluka (89).
The D flight only consisted of two players today, but that didn’t stop them from competing for the top spot. Scott Allen and William Gilstrap both played competitive rounds and kept within striking distance all round long. After they putted out on 18, Scott was the one that held up the trophy.
Congratulations to all the winners today. Our next event will be July 24th at Cumberland Trail.
