A total of 126 players battled strong winds for the second major of the year at Kinsale Golf Club in Powell, Ohio.
In the Championship flight Rich Campbell fires a 73 winning his third straight and fourth out of five tournaments in 2013. Finishing second with a 74 is Jeff Maier. Rounding out the top three is Hyo Seung Lee with a 75.
In the A flight two players finished tied for the lead with matching 78’s. Dan Dickenson and Rhoshaun Byrd would have to go four holes on the scorecard playoff to determine the winner. Dan’s bogey would be good enough to give him his first victory on tour. Third place goes to Matthew Akers with a 79.
In the B flight we had another first time winner. Tobin Shoup fired an 81, good enough for a two shot victory. Don Welling, Jeff Spires, and Devon Ratliff all shot 83. Don takes second alone with his par on the #1 handicap hole. Devon Ratliff finishes third.
In the C flight Leon Bilderback earns his second victory of the year with a solid 84. First year member Jim Papamihail shoots 85 to earn second place alone. Third place goes to David Carson who played in his first event ever shooting 86.
In the D flight there was another tie at the top. Mike Roten and Larry Schofield both with 92’s. Mike Roten, on the second playoff hole earns the victory. Rounding out the top three was Scott Allen with a 93.
